Did you have a positive medical center experience AND are you willing to share time with others? You may want to consider volunteering at Oakland Medical Center!
The Volunteer Services program is looking for exceptionally dynamic individuals to serve as members of the Volunteer Services team! Positions in the Gift Shop, the Pediatric Department, and as terrific Personal Service Escorts and Greeters are immediately available.
Volunteer Services host both adult and student volunteer programs. All adult candidates must successfully complete a background check in order to qualify for the Volunteer Services programs. Return completed applications, preferably by mail, or you can return applications in person at the Surgery Information Desk, 1st floor, main hospital lobby. Students, ages 14 years and older AND high school eligible, are encouraged to join!
Volunteers serve flexible schedules between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., usually in three or four-hour shifts, at least one time per week. Student volunteers are required to serve 156 hours in a 12-month period--this translates into one three- or four-hour shift per week only! On average, students contribute about 200 volunteer hours in their time spent volunteering at the medical center and clinics.
